Recently, the world-renowned academic research platform Research.com released the ranking of the best scientists in the field of immunology in 2025, and Academician Dong Chen, founding president of the Shanghai Immune Therapy Institute, ranked 4th in China and 295th in the world; Professor Lai Guan Ng, a senior researcher at the Institute, ranked 20th in China and 2095th in the world. The two scholars have made breakthroughs in the fields of T cell differentiation mechanism and myeloid cell function, contributing Chinese wisdom to of immunology worldwide.

As a world-renowned academic research platform, Research.com publishes scientist rankings based on authoritative academic databases such as OpenAlex and CrossRef, and systematically evaluates scholars in the field of immunology around the world through multi-dimensional indicators such as the D index (H index measured by academic field), the frequency of paper citations, scientific research contribution, and international influence.
